outlook for the innocent lives shattered by abuse and neglect. FamilyTherapy provides support for siblings and parents of abused children. Families are helped to understand what allowed the abuse to happen and how to create safe and supportive environments. Adult Survivor Therapy helps adults who were molested as children to make good decisions for themselves, develop healthy relationships, and protect their own children from abuse. | Intervention | |
| Calm's Volunteer Family Aides
give children and parents the opportunity to relate to a caring adult who offers child
care, transportation to CALM, and support for a family in crisis. Crisis Intervention is provided through CALM's 24 hour telephone hot-line, which has saved hundreds of children from physical and sexual abuse because help was just a phone call away. CALM's Interview Specialists are forensically trained to interview children who have reported abuse ,so reliable evidence can be collected. Traumatizing multi-agency interviews are avoided so that the healing process may begin. |
